At 21 years old, Alice has built a dynamic music career. She started violin at the age of three and has studied through the AMEB model. Alice is now studying a Bachelor of Music Composition and a Bachelor of Arts (majoring in Film and Screen Studies) at Monash University. She has composed pieces for student films and ensembles including The Monash Law Orchestra, The Inventi ensemble and Elipsis Trio.

Alice Ruby also makes indie-pop music blending ethereal vocals, dreamy guitars, and swooning strings. Her song Cellophane held the #1 spot on the AMRAP metro charts for two weeks and has been played on Triple J. Her music has received coverage in Palisade, features in curated playlists and her music videos have been played on Rage.

Alice sings and plays guitar in many bands including Goodbye Butterfly, Des Cortez and Majak Door. She has performed at notable venues around Australia and alongside artists like DICE, The Vanns, Taxi Ride and at St Kilda Festival.

Alice loves to share her knowledge and experience with emerging musicians. She is passionate about music education and teaches violin, guitar, music theory, song writing and composition.
